FAQ
What do you specialise in?
I work with individuals navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, ADHD, body image concerns, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling underneath the surface. Together, we'll explore what's underneath the struggle, understand the patterns that have shaped your experience, and create a way forward that helps you feel more connected to yourself again.
Do I need to be diagnosed with an eating disorder or ADHD before working with you?
No! A diagnosis is not required. Many of the people I work with come to therapy because they're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or struggling with patterns around food, emotions, or daily life. Together, we'll make sense of what's going on and determine the best path forward.
Can you diagnose me or refer me to someone who can?
Yes. As a licensed therapist, I can assess and diagnose many mental health conditions, including ADHD, when appropriate. If you're wondering whether ADHD, anxiety, an eating disorder, or another concern may be impacting your life, we can explore that together.
In some situations, additional testing or a more comprehensive evaluation may be helpful, particularly if you're seeking academic accommodations, workplace accommodations, or medication management. If needed, I can connect you with trusted providers who offer specialised ADHD evaluations and collaborate with them as part of your care.
What is your therapeutic approach?
My approach is rooted in the idea that your symptoms are not the problem; they're information. Together, we'll explore the patterns underneath the overwhelm, emotional intensity, food struggles, body image concerns, ADHD challenges, or survival strategies that may no longer be serving you. The goal isn't to become someone different. It's to understand yourself more fully and create a way forward that feels more connected, sustainable, and true to who you are.
Do you work with people recovering from eating disorders?
Yes! I work with individuals at many different stages of recovery, including those currently struggling, transitioning from higher levels of care, or continuing to navigate challenges with food, body image, and self-trust long after treatment has ended.
Do you work with a treatment team?
Absolutely. Eating disorder recovery is often most effective when support is collaborative. When appropriate, I regularly coordinate care with dietitians, physicians, psychiatrists, and other providers to help ensure you're receiving comprehensive support.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients located in Kansas. Before your appointment, you'll receive a link to a HIPAA-compliant video platform that you can access from your location.
Where are you located?
I see clients in person at two Kansas locations: my private practice office in Overland Park and at Bellatore Recovery in Lenexa.
Overland Park:
10540 Marty Street, Suite 160
Overland Park, KS 66212
Lenexa (Bellatore Recovery):
6979 W 94th Street, Suite D
Lenexa, KS 66219
I also offer telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Kansas.
How do I schedule with you?
Click the "Let's Talk" button and complete the inquiry form. I'll get back to you as soon as possible to discuss next steps and answer any questions you may have.
How much are your sessions?
Individual sessions are $145. I accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, cash, and checks. A card is kept securely on file for billing purposes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens, and I understand that plans can change. I ask that cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours before your appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, are charged the full session fee. This helps protect appointment times and allows me to offer openings to others who may be waiting for support.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to learn more about your specific benefits.
What ages do you work with?
I currently work with those 18 and older.
How often should I attend therapy?
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others prefer biweekly or monthly support. During our first few sessions, we'll talk about your goals, needs, schedule, and budget to determine what feels most supportive for you. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll adjust as your needs change over time.
